Who We Are

A transnational vision — spiritually, economically, intellectually

Founded by Anuraag Hooda, a Columbia University graduate who studied abroad in Rabat, Tangier, and Fez (Summer 2025), IndoRoccan connects founders, researchers, and institutions across India and Morocco. India has the largest diaspora in the world, and Morocco has one of the highest emigration rates relative to its population — millions of people already moving between these places and the rest of the globe. We believe the next wave of India-Morocco innovation will be built through those diasporas, not just between the two countries directly — and this corridor remains one of the most underexplored in the world.

No — IndoRoccan is an incubator and network, not a registered investment fund. We connect founders to mission-aligned capital and help structure the raise.

Who should apply?

Early-stage founders building something with a real India or Morocco connection — product, team, market, or supply chain — at idea through seed stage.

What's required?

Just the application below. No fee, no required equity to apply — terms, if any, are discussed individually once there's mutual fit.

How is this different from the India-Morocco Chamber of Commerce?

The Chamber promotes general bilateral trade between established businesses. IndoRoccan is an incubator for early-stage founders building innovation and technology ventures connected to India and Morocco — hands-on support and capital access, not trade-body membership.

How is this different from an embassy or consulate?

Embassies and consulates handle official government-to-government relations and citizen services. IndoRoccan is a private, founder-focused incubator — we're not affiliated with either government.

Is IndoRoccan affiliated with Columbia University?

No — IndoRoccan isn't a Columbia-sponsored program. It was founded by Anuraag Hooda, a Columbia graduate, and is independently run.

Why focus on India and Morocco specifically?

It's a real, underexplored corridor — not a stand-in for South Asia or North Africa broadly. We believe depth on one high-potential relationship beats a diffuse regional mandate.
